Teenager's iPhone stolen in Telford street
A teenager was assaulted and robbed of his iPhone by man while walking in Telford.
The 17-year-old was approached as he turned down an alleyway off Church Parade, Oakengates, by a man who was verbally abusive before stealing the white iPhone 5s.
The youth said he saw the man in the front seat of a Blue Ford Mondeo along with two other men shortly before the attack, which happened at about 4pm on Friday.
The suspect is described as white, of slim build, about 6ft, with short dark hair and clean shaven.
He also had a distinctive tattoo with the word "love" on his right arm.
He is thought to be about 18 to 20 years old and wearing a full grey Converse track suit with his hood up.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "This was an unprovoked assault on a teenager in a public place. Luckily the victim noticed the car that the suspect was driving before he was assaulted.
"If anyone recognises the car from this description or the man involved we would be very keen to hear from them."
