Police are investigating the circumstances of the crashes, and have arrested and bailed three young men from the Birmingham area.

The crashes happened on Saturday, at 12.15am, and the woman was taken to Hereford Hospital, though her injuries were not believed to be serious.

Detective Sergeant John Weaver said a 22-year-old from Halesowen, and a 19 and 27-year-old from Birmingham, were arrested and released on bail on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

He said: "This is a serious incident in which the victim ended up in hospital.

"Three men have been arrested in connection with this but we are keen to hear from anyone who can further assist with our enquiries.

"We are investigating whether the woman was intentionally struck."

Steve Parry, speaking for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance and a community paramedic attended and treated a woman who was taken to Hereford Hospital for assessment. She was taken in as a precautionary measure."
