Shropshire rail delays over broken down trains and signal fault
Trains between Shrewsbury and Hereford were being delayed by 90 minutes this afternoon today after after a freight train broke down at Ludlow.

Earlier trains between Shrewsbury and Crewe were being delayed by about 30 minutes after another freight train broke down. The train, which broke down at about 5.20am, was blocking the line between Shrewsbury and Wem.
Meanwhile, trains between Shrewsbury and Hereford were delayed by more than 40 minutes because of a signal fault.
The fault occurred in Leominster at about 7am but was fixed by 7.45pm.
