The six bedroomed Longwood Hall in Broughall, near Whitchurch, was built in the 1890s but has recently been fully refurbished.

It is on the market through agents Halls with a guide price of £1.295 million.

Jon Quinn, from Halls, said: "The owners are selling because they want more land. They have currently got about 18 acres but they want more like 60 plus.

"They have spent a lot of money there and they have done a good job.

"There have been no offers yet but a fair amount of interest."

Duncan Foulkes, spokesman for Halls, added: "It has recently been fully refurbished with immense taste and flare. All modern-day requirements are catered for whilst the property retains attractive period features and its original atmosphere.

"A family room, study, kitchenette and rear staircase to a first floor bedroom may be accessed from a rear courtyard, making this part of the house suitable for use as a separate annexe for family or staff.

"The land is a major feature of the property and is retained within conveniently-sized, fenced enclosures ideal for horse owners."

The ground floor features a spacious galleried reception hall with a marble tiled flooring, oak panelled walls and a log burner with carved surround.

It also features a sitting room, large hallway, utility room, bootroom and cloakroom.

From the reception hall, an oak split staircase rises to a galleried landing, which leads to a master suite. There are a further five bedrooms, of which one has an en-suite bathroom, an additional family bathroom and a shower/wet room.
