Worker suffers leg injuries at Telford factory

A man in his 30s suffered serious leg injuries following an accident at a factory.

Ambulance staff were called out to the unnamed industrial unit off Redhill Way, Telford, following reports of an accident at 12.30pm on Friday afternoon.

The patient was airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Steve Parry said: "A patient was treated for serious lower leg injuries. He was immobilised and given pain relief before being airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment."

The Health and Safety Executive confirmed it was aware of the incident.
