For the past five year she has been running a programme in New South Wales teaching medical, nursing and other health staff on how to improve care.

She will spend Christmas at the Hunter Valley wine region, where she will stay with her cousin and his wife at their property, the McCaffreys estate

"I am going up for a week and it is only two hours drive from where I live in Sydney," she says.

"Two of my cousins will be there as well with their partners and my aunt, plus my cousins-in-law.

"There will be twelve of us for Christmas Day dinner. We will enjoy champagne and wine.

"We will have seafood starters and then turkey, ham and traditional Christmas dinner. "Then as it will be hot probably a dip in the pool. If we are lucky we will see kangaroos hopping through the vines at sunset."
