Burglars target Shropshire homes over festive season
Consoles, war medals and jewellery are among items taken by burglars that targeted homes in Shropshire over the festive week.
Residents in the county are being urged to come forward with information following burglaries in Telford and Whitchurch, which police said were linked.
The first took place between 4pm last Friday and 11am on Sunday on Brades Road in the Prees area.
Offenders forced entry to the property and stole a number of belongings including two Sony flat screen televisions and a surround sound system.
The second burglary happened between 10am on Saturday and 6.15pm on Sunday on Sylvan Close in the Higher Heath area.
Entry was forced to the property and a Dell laptop was stolen as well as jewellery worth around £700, including commemorative crown coins from 1953 and 1976 and three World War One medals marked with 'Albert Edward Bishop'.
Officers are also appealing for witnesses following a burglary on Arleston Avenue in Telford on Tuesday.
It took place between 1pm and 8.30pm and the offenders forced entry into the property stealing a 60 inch black LG TV, two ipad minis, two DS consoles and an ipod. They then left via the back door.
