The woman, who gave her name as Samantha Jones to nurses, attended the Accident and Emergency department at the Princess Royal Hospital, Wellington, in the early hours of today.

West Mercia Police said officers are concerned the name she gave to staff at the hospital may be false.

She walked out of the hospital at around 5.50am but is in need of treatment and further assessment following injury to her left arm.

She is described as white with a northern accent, of stocky build and approximately 5ft 4 inches, with possible blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a black woolly hat, black padded jacket and black leggings tucked into knee high black boots and wearing black rimmed narrow glasses.

The force said there is growing concern for her welfare.

Anyone with information should call 101.
