Shropshire and Mid Wales flooding fears as more rain on the way
Flood alerts today remained in place in some areas of Shropshire and Mid Wales – as forecasters predicted more heavy rain this week.

The Environment Agency issues "alerts" for areas where officers believe flooding is possible and warn people to be prepared.
A flood alert remains in place for the Severn Vyrnwy Confluence, which includes Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Crew Green.
A flood alert is also still in place on the south Shropshire border at the River Lugg near Leominster.
Flood alerts were removed on the River Severn in Shropshire yesterday at locations including Frankwell in Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Jackfield and Bridgnorth.
Warnings were issued for the River Vyrnwy at Melverley but they have been withdrawn.
