Anger as thieves steal Telford firm's £18,000 van
Staff at a Telford business have hit out at thieves who made away with a delivery vehicle and goods worth £19,000.
Witnesses are being urged to come forward with any information after a Ford transit van with scrap metal, tools and a brand new washing and drying machine was stolen.
The £18,500 vehicle was parked between two storage units on a security yard off Chapel Street in Oakengates overnight on Monday. It belongs to Powerpoint Stores Limited around the corner in Market Street.
Store director Avril Broad hopes that CCTV footage would have captured the offenders taking off with the van.
She said: "This is a huge amount of money for us to lose and not only has the cost of the van and goods on it been taken away we have had to shell out to hire a van in the meantime.
"To those people who did this to us, I would say go out and get a job and earn your money instead of stealing off hardworking taxpayers."
Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 101.
