The Welsh Ambulance Service also attended the scene where they provided a check-up for the driver.
Two fire crews from Welshpool provided assistance and used air bags to right the car.
Meanwhile, one motorist, office worker Andrew Morris, said it took him almost an hour and a half to get from Oswestry to Telford - a journey which usually takes 45 minutes.
He said: "The road between Maesbury Marsh and Nesscliffe was absolutely treacherous. The road had not been treated and cars were sliding all over the place."
Meanwhile, Brown Clee primary school in Ditton Priors, near Bridgnorth, and Clunbury Primary School, near Craven Arms, were closed today due to snow.
With temperatures dropping, rain quickly turned to snow last night.
Recent heavy rain and snowmelt from snow in the Welsh mountains have led to the reservoir at Lake Vyrnwy being full to the brim, with the resulting overspilling of the water.
The release of such a large amount of water means high water on the River Vyrnwy, which joins the River Severn at Melverley.
Flood alerts have been issued by the Environment Agency by the Severn Vyrnwy confluence and the Severn through Shropshire.
Yesterday morning snow fell on many parts of the Welsh border. Higher ground at Llangollen was white over after morning snow showers and the Berwyns and the hills surrounding Lake Vyrnwy made for picture postcard scenes.
The stone-built dam at Lake Vyrnwy, built in the 1880s, was the first of its kind in the world. Managed by Severn Trent the reservoir was constructed to supply water to Liverpool. Its creation saw the flooding of the valley and the village of Llanwddyn.
