War medals stolen during Ironbridge burglary

A number of war medals have been stolen from a home in Ironbridge.

The offenders forced entry to the house on Wesley Road, Ironbridge before making off with the medal and relevant paper work.

A medal from the First World War campaign were taken, which were made in the hundreds of thousands, and engraved around the outside with the person's name and serial number. This medal is engraved with the name 'Lomas'

A police spkesman said: "Several second world War medals and railway badges were also stolen from the property on Thursday, February 5 between 7.30am and 4pm.

"Coins, a Nikon camera with charger and some jewellery were also stolen."

Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0435 S of February 5.
