Thieves target area in spate of raids over five-day period
A motorbike, bicycle, air rifle and wooden benches have all been stolen during a spate of thefts and burglaries in the space of five days.
The motorbike was taken from a garage which was broken into in Telford Avenue in Chirk Bank, near Oswestry.
Three wooden benches were removed from Park Hall leisure complex while a valuable bicycle taken from a garage in Hammond's Place in Gobowen, and an air rifle stolen from a shed – all overnight between February 5 and 6.
Power tools were stolen when a site office in a compound at Rhydycroesau was broken into between February 6 and Monday.
Between 11am and 2.30pm on Monday a house in Boot Street, Whittington, was broken into. Some stolen items were later found in a nearby churchyard.
And on the same day between 2pm and 10pm an employee's white Apollo Evade bicycle was stolen from garage premises at Mile Oak services on A483.
Overnight between Monday and Tuesday, the jet wash at a service station at Mile End, Oswestry, was broken into and a cash box taken. There was only a small amount of cash in the box.
