Cannabis worth up to £230,000 seized in Telford police raid
About 230 cannabis plants, with a street value of up to £230,000, were seized from a property in Telford following a raid by police today.
West Mercia Police executed a drugs warrant at an address in the Trench area at about 9am.
It comes days after around 200 cannabis plants were seized from two houses in Newport.
Police say despite the property in Trench being unoccupied, they were able to seize the plants, with each one being able to produce about £800 to £1,000 worth of cannabis.
Officers from the Newport and Donnington Safer Neighbourhood Teams conducted the warrant after members of the public had expressed their concerns about suspicious activity at the premises.

Constable Nikki Scott, of the Donnington Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We would like to thank residents of Donnington and Trench for their support in tackling the fight against drugs which brings so much harm, not only to our town, but to communities across the force area.
"We would like to reassure the residents of Trench and the surrounding area that your local police will continue to act on the information we are given to help keep our communities safe.
"No arrests have yet been made in connection with the warrant. The property was unoccupied at the time and is thought to have been for sometime. Inquiries continue to help bring those responsible to justice."
