The annual Mudtastic mud run will raise funds for the new £1 million Cavalier Centre in Much Wenlock.

Perry Riding for the Disabled is currently relocating it's Shrewsbury centre to a state-of-the-art facility in Much Wenlock.

The equestrian centre will be designed to give disabled people the chance to ride horses and drive carriages was built on farmland.

Maria Budd from the riding group said: "The mud run is back after a very successful first year.

"It's going to be even bigger and better this time with runners testing their endurance, physical ability and determination..

"There will be a range of challenging climbs, drops, muddy tracks and deep water pools, all whilst raising money for a fantastic charity.

"The riding group provides people with disabilities with the opportunity to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through education and fun with horses.

"The mud-run is a brilliant way to have fun but still support this charity that changes so many lives every day."

The five and 10 kilometre runs will see competitors tackle cargo nets, hurdles, tyres, tunnels, hay stacks and a water slide.

Entry costs £25 and medals will be given out to all finishers, with prizes for the first three male and female competitors over the finish line.

The event will take place at Fox Trax Marchamley on Chirbury Farm, Marchamley, near Shrewsbury, for five kilometre and 10 kilometre runs on April 19.
