Telford & Wrekin Council has said as the building is new teething problems are to be expected.

Russell Griffin, council spokesman, said: "We have been working closely with our contractor Morgan Sindall to identify the source of the leak and they were on site yesterday morning to reseal window frames which we believe will fix the problem. It was originally thought that the leak was coming from the green roof but we now don't believe that to be the case.

"The extra work is covered by a defects liability clause in the contract and therefore is being carried out at no cost to the taxpayer."
