Election hustings event coming to Welshpool
A hustings event will be held the night before the General Election in Welshpool.
The eve-of-the-election debate will take place in the Assembly Room at Welshpool Town Hall on May 6 and will see candidates Glyn Davies (Conservative), Jane Dodds (Lib Dem), Des Parkinson (Ukip), Richard Chaloner (Greens) and Gwynfor Owen (Plaid Cymru) quizzed on a number of issues.
Robert Robinson, clerk of Welshpool Town Council, said: "This is a chance to hear from the General Election candidates answering some set questions, some from the floor and to give a short summary of what they stand for.
"The town council is seeking suggested questions from the public with the most common ones being used.
Any suggestions for questions to the candidates should be sent to my e-mail or posted to the town council offices."
