Shropshire pensioner left on the floor as robber runs off with handbag
A 78-year-old Shropshire woman was left on the floor as a robber grabbed her handbag and ran off with it.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the robbery, which happened between 10.30pm and 10.45pm last night in Blakemere Close, Whitchurch.
The victim was approached from behind when her handbag was stolen, causing her to fall to the floor. She sustained minor injuries not requiring hospital treatment.
A police spokesman said: "The handbag is cream in colour with a flower pattern and bamboo handles. Unfortunately, a description of the offender is not known."
Anyone with information or who sees a handbag of this description is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 801S of Sunday, March 22.
