Shropshire firefighters called as gales blow tree into electricity cables
Shropshire firefightrers were called to deal with a tree that that was blown across power lines in high winds today.

Branches caused a power cable coming from a pylon near Aston on Clun to spark in the early hours.
A fire crew from Craven Arms was called out to the scene at about 3am, and found the tree was being blown against the pylon and electricity from the cables was arcing.
Engineers from Western Power Distribution were called to deal with the problem, and the branches were cleared by about 4.10am.
