Man taken to hospital after Shropshire crash
A man has been taken to hospital with ankle and chest injuries after a two-car collision on the A458 in Shropshire.
The crash happened at Atterley, near Much Wenlock at about 2pm, involving a Mini and Volkswagen Golf TDI.
The crash blocked the road, with slow traffic in both directions between the High Street junction in Much Wenlock and the B4368 Ludlow Road junction in Morville.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said two ambulances were sent to the scene.
"One male patient spent a while trapped in his vehicle and has been taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with an ankle injury and a chest injury," he said.
Three fire crews from Much Wenlock, Telford Central and Wellington were also sent to the scene, but all passengers had been freed by the time of arrival and crews simply made the vehicles safe.
