Officers from West Mercia Police were called to the Trench Lock island, next to KFC, following a report of anti-social behaviour by a group of men and women.

The incident happened on Tuesday night at around 10.40pm.

No damage was caused by the group but police said they received reports of people shouting and intimidating passers-by.

Anne Tugwell, West Mercia Police spokeswoman, said they dealt with the problem straightaway and urged anyone witnessing anti-social behaviour to call them

She said: "Officers attended and gave words of advice to those involved."
