Jewellery stolen from elderly woman in Telford burglary
A large amount of jewellery has been stolen from an elderly woman in Telford while she was home alone.
West Mercia Police are appealing to the Telford community for information following the burglary on Avon Close, Little Dawley.
The burglary happened at about 3pm on Sunday, April 5 when an elderly lady was home alone at the time.
The offender or offenders forced entry to the house.
A police spokesman said: "A large amount of jewellery was stolen from the address including a Pandora bracelet with charms, a 'Lady Diana' style purple stone gold ring, a pink sapphire and gold ring and an Italian 22" necklace with 6-8 distinctive filigree crosses on it.
"The jewellery is all of great sentimental value and the owner would value its return."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 404S 050415.
