Oswestry man harassed ex with texts and following her in car
A man who harassed his former partner by sending her countless text messages and following her in his car has been given a 12-month community order.
Daniel Chasey Price also followed his ex-partner on a number of occasions following the breakdown of their 14-year relationship, Shrewsbury Magistrates Court was told.
Price, 32, of Park Hall, Oswestry, admitted harassing the woman between October 12 last year and January 9 at an earlier hearing but appeared at court for sentencing on Tuesday.
He was given 12 months supervision under his community order and 40 hours of unpaid work.
He was also placed under a restraining order not to contact the woman or to enter Morda or Llynclys.
Mrs Abigail Hall, prosecuting, said Price and his ex had been in a relationship for 14 years which had broken down.
She moved out of the home and over the course of the next few months, Price began sending her a number of text messages, many of which made her feel harassed.
On three occasions she had also noticed the defendant following her as she drove in her car.
Mrs Hall said the police issued Price with three harassment notices during the time before he was finally arrested in January.
