Man, 21, cautioned over batch of 'Superman' pills linked to death of Telford man
Detectives have cautioned a man in connection with a dangerous batch of 'Superman' pills linked to the deaths of four men including one from Telford.
The 21-year-old was one of four arrested after police seized more than 400 of the red and triangular tablets which had the letter 'S' in the middle.
The batch have been linked to the deaths of three men around Ipswich, Suffolk, and a fourth in Telford.
Factory worker Daniel Bagnall, 27, from Telford, was found dead on New Year's Day at his home in Ketley after taking one of the red pills.
The lethal ecstasy drugs contained PMMA, a highly toxic substance used as a substitute for the less toxic MDMA.
Last month Polish national Adrian Lubecki, 19, of Ipswich, was jailed at the town's crown court for five years and four months for being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
Damian Malolepszy, 28, of Hadley, denied six drugs charges including possessing controlled drugs and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A.
He is due to face trial on July 6 at Shropshire Crown Court.
The 21 year-old, from Ipswich, answered police bail on Wednesday and was cautioned for possession of amphetamine.
No action is being taken against a 26 year-old from Ipswich.
Police launched a hunt for the deadly tablets following the deaths of Lithuanian-born Justas Ropas, 22, and Gediminas Kulokas, 24, in Ipswich.
Mr. Ropas died on Christmas Eve and his fellow countryman died on New Year's Eve.
On New Year's Day John Hocking, 20, was found dead in the village of Rendlesham, Suffolk, the same day as Daniel Bagnall.
