Police appealed for help after 22-year-old Joseph Moss escaped from Featherstone prison in Staffordshire last Thursday.

Moss, who is serving a 32-month sentence for burglary, was arrested yesterday in the Birmingham area and taken into custody.

Police have thanked the public for their response to their social media posts which were shared more than 1,500 times and reached over 300,000 people.

Earlier this week a man, also 22, was arrested on suspicion of harbouring the prisoner, who is from the Bartley Green area of Birmingham.
