Woman killed in two-car Whitchurch crash
A woman in her 60s has died following a head-on, two car-crash in Whitchurch this afternoon.
The crash happened shortly before 1pm in Station Road, when the woman's silver Ford Fiesta was in collision with a blue Jeep Patriot Sport.
The woman, who has not yet been formally identified but is from Crewe, was driving from the direction of Waymills towards Whitchurch town centre and the Jeep was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Jeep, a 59-year-old man from Whitchurch, did not need hospital treatment for his injuries and no one else is thought to have been involved in the collision.
The incident happened near Homebase in the town and road closures were put in place while police work on the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
"Crews arrived to find CPR already in progress on the woman before they took over to administer advanced life support to try and resuscitate her.
"Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of everyone it became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
"Crews also assessed a man from the second car for minor injuries, but he did not require any further treatment."
