Telford man, 23, is cleared of BB gun allegation
A man has been cleared of pointing an imitation firearm at another man and his father in Telford.
A jury cleared Aaron Lee Smith, who had denied possession of a BB gun with intent to cause fear of violence in July 2013, after a trial at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
Other charges against Mr Smith, 23, of Winifreds Drive, Donnington, and his two co-defendants Mr Wayne Anthony Smith, 24, and Miss Shannon Saxton, 21, both of Burford, Brookside, for assaulting and threatening the same person were also dropped.
The alleged victim had told police he was with his father in a van when Mr Smith pointed the BB gun at him. He claimed he was later assaulted by the three.
The court was told that the alleged victim and his father where also arrested following the initial incident.
