Car fails to stop after motorcyclist injured in Telford

A motorcyclist who was overtaken by a car and forced to brake sharply has been injured after a fall and taken to hospital.

The accident happened on Whitchurch Drive in Apley, after a small silver car changed lanes on the two lane approach before the Apley Roundabout, near the Princess Royal Hospital.
This caused the rider of a red Suzuki Intruder 125cc motorcycle travelling behind it to brake sharply.
The rider of the motorcycle then fell off due to the sudden stop, suffering minor injuries to his arm and leg.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and police would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the accident.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injuries.
It took place on Monday at around 5.05pm.
