Nine-week-old Chihuahua puppy stolen from Shropshire home
A teacup Chihuahua puppy has been stolen from a home near Market Drayton.
The puppy, which was nine weeks old, was taken from its home in Sutton Road, Tern Hil, after it had been advertised with the rest of the litter for sale on various online selling pages including Pre-Loved.
The breeder received a phone call at around 5.30pm on Wednesday from a man asking to come and view the puppies that evening.
At around 7pm the same night two men arrived at the house in a white van.
One of the men got into a discussion with the breeder about the details of the puppy and asked her to bring out the dog's father.
The breeder went into her garden to fetch the other dog and when she returned the two men had gone. She then realised one of the puppies had been taken.
Sophie Flynn, corporate communications for West Mercia Police, said: "The puppy which has been taken is a nine-week-old, black, teacup Chihuahua with tan eyebrows and tan paws. The puppy has not been vaccinated or micro chipped.
"The suspects are both white and thought to be in their twenties. Both the men are described as having short dark hair and dressed smartly in bright 'summery' clothing.
"They told the victim that they were from the London area, but did not have London accents.
"The vehicle they were in was a white van, possibly a Ford Transit and left the scene in the direction of the A41.
