Shropshire parents fined over truanting
Two parents have been fined after their child regularly failed to attend school.

The pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted failing to ensure their child attended school in Whitchurch regularly. Each was fined £80 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £20 victim surcharge by Shrewsbury magistrates yesterday.
