Three air ambulance called to Shropshire border crash

Three air ambulances were called upon to airlift patients from a two-car crash.

It happened at the junction of the A44 and A4110 at Monkland, near Leominster, just before 2.45pm yesterday.

The Welsh Air Ambulance crew airlifted a man in his 20s with internal injuries to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital while the Midlands Air Ambulance airlifted a man in his 20s to hospital with chest and spinal injuries. A man in his 30s was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with chest injuries. A woman in her 50s and a man in his 20s were taken to Hereford Hospital.
