Pictures: Shropshire from the air - reader gets unique images with drone
During summer and spring Shrewsbury's fame as a flower town becomes really apparent.
The town has burst into colour over the last couple of months and there is no better place to see the finest flowers in Shrewsbury than the Dingle.
But this is the Dingle as you might not have seen it before, taking in the beautiful colours and patterns - from the air.
Not only can you see the Dingle but you can also see the surrounding Quarry including the bandstand.
The picture was captured by Shropshire Star reader Bill Nevett who lives in Marchamley, near Wem.
Mr Nevett is a freelance photographer who specialises in rural photography, hunting, sport, country life and wildlife.
The 60-year-old estate manager said: "I have about seven websites and I do a lot of bird photography, insects, wild animals, and aerial photography.
"It's a hobby and I always have a camera with me.
"I used to do wildlife; they were probably my favourite photos. But when I got a drone I soon got hooked on drone photography.
"I have had it about nine months and have taken about 500 to 600 good photographs, and some videos.
"I was born in Clive, just outside Shrewsbury. I know Shrewsbury like the back of my hand but a drone helps you see things from a different perspective.
"The town is wonderful to photograph, especially as it has got the river which makes fantastic pictures.
"I don't just do photos in Shropshire. I do a lot of Welsh castles and do coastal work. I like photographing the sea but you need good weather."
