Welshpool road closed after two-car crash
A road just outside Welshpool town centre was closed for several hours today after a two-car crash.

The collision happened at about 10.30am near the Red Lane entrance to Powis Castle and involved a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Golf.
A police spokesman said the occupants of the cars had sustained some injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Police closed the road and set up diversions, and the road eventually reopened at about 3.15pm.
