Newport man stole cash from nursing home
A man has admitted carrying out a burglary at a nursing home in the county.

Mark Davies, 52, pleaded guilty to stealing cash from Cottage Christian Nursing Home in Granville Road, Newport, on February 27 when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
The court was told that Davies' criminal history included non-dwelling burglaries and that this most recent offence put him in breach of a conditional discharge for shoplifting.
The case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report and Davies, of Hurleybrook Way in Leegomery, Telford, was released on conditional bail to report weekly to the police and not to go to the nursing home.
It will next be heard on June 22.
