Man rescued from Bridgnorth roof suffered vertigo attack

A man who was trapped on the roof of a building in Bridgnorth after carrying out maintenance work had suffered an of attack of vertigo, it has been revealed.

The drama happened at a commercial building at the Muckley Cross Industrial Estate, near Much Wenlock. The emergency services attended the scene, where a ladder platform was used to get the man safely off the roof.

PCSO Mal Goddard from the Broseley and Much Wenlock Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "Fire brigade officers used ladders to reach the man and calm him. They then used the aerial ladder platform to get him off the roof and back safely down to the ground."

The incident happened on Sunday, just after 11am. The man was checked at the scene and released.
