This is the man who was jailed for a year for his part in a stolen car crash on the A5 that killed his uncle.
Jamie Jones was the passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa during the pursuit, which ended when driver Stefan Boswell was killed in Shrewsbury, on June 6 last year.
At Shrewsbury Crown Court, prosecutor Mr Kevin Jones said the car was being driven by Mr Boswell, who picked his nephew up after stealing it from the driveway of a home in Craven Arms earlier that night.
The prosecutor said the chase ended when Mr Boswell crashed.
Mr Boswell, 20, of Wolverhampton, died. Jones, also 20, of Manor Road, Walsall, suffered serious injuries. He had pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking.
Mr Andrew Holland, for Jones, said: "He has suffered serious degrees of guilt and remorse in this case."
The crash forced the closure of the A5 and ushered in hours of traffic chaos in the county. A separate accident on the A5 near, Junction 7 of the M54 at Wellington, caused further disruption for drivers and, with the fatal crash as well, led to police closing the eastbound A5 between the motorway junction and the A5064 at Emstrey.
