Bungalow blaze after cooking catches fire

A bungalow was left heavily smoke logged after unattended cooking caught fire in a kitchen.

Published

The blaze began at about 4am when food was left unattended at the home in Haslehurst Close, in Clun.

Two crews from Bishops Castle and Clun were sent to the fire and used a hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to put the blaze out.

The fire was out by 4.20am.

Last night at about 10.30pm, one crew from Newport put out a litter bin which had set light in Victoria Park.

Buckets of water were used to extinguish the fire.
