Casualty taken to hospital after crash on A483
A casualty has been taken to hospital following a crash between two cars on the A483.
The crash happened at about 9.55am today, on the A483 Newtown to Berriew road, just outside Abermule. It involved two cars, a silver Peugeot 406 and a black Ford Ka.
All three emergency services were called out, including the air ambulance.
Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman Lois Hough said: "We were called at just after 10 this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A483 on the Welshpool side of Abermule.
"We responded with one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and one air ambulance. A casualty has been conveyed by land to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."
One side of the road was blocked by the crash.
Dyfed Powys Police spokeswoman Sian George said: "The road was partially blocked, and there were long delays for recovery to take place."
