Attempted arson attack in Telford
Police are on the hunt for witnesses to an attempted arson attack to the door of a property near Wellington.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the attempted attack in Manor Road in Arleston which took place on Sunday at about 11.55pm.
Offenders are thought to have attempted to start a fire by using an accelerant at the front door of the property, the fire failed to ignite and no damage was caused.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
The property owner is believed to have witnessed a Volkswagen hatchback driving away at speed.
Anyone with information or who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 850s of Sunday, July 12.
