"I offered to help out in any way I could at the match and they said they would welcome help in the commentary box with pronunciation of names. Mind you with some overseas players I am expecting to trip over some of the names myself."

The 58-year-old was herself an avid footballer, playing for a Copenhagen girls team from the age of 11-16.

"As a child my father took me to see Copenhagen play Manchester United in a pre season friendly. When I saw George Best my 12-year-old heart just melted. He inspired me to play football."

"I am delighted to be helping out the Newtown club - even though I will be supporting Copenhagen," she said.
