New KFC could open in Newtown
A new KFC restaurant could be opening in the region, it has emerged.
Gastronomy Foods, which holds franchises for the fried chicken giant in Oswestry and plans to open a new branch in Newtown, is advertising for a manager in Welshpool.
Although the company has not confirmed it plans to come to the town, the job advert promises a salary of between £28,000 and £30,000.
Gastronomy Foods currently runs 13 KFC restaurants across its patch, employing 300 people, and wants to expand to 20 restaurants.
The advert reads: "We are run by passionate business leaders who want to make a difference in their part of KFC, delivering great sales and profits to the business and keeping our customers thrilled with great service.
"Along with the great base salary of £30,000 and market leading bonus scheme mentioned above, we have a benefit programme to suit everyone."
