Thieves break into Newport home
Police are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into while the owners were away on holiday.

The break-in took place between July 31 and August 3, at the house in the Church Meadow area of Lilleshall near Newport.
The offenders tried to force the rear door of the house open but were unsuccessful and ended up getting in through a kitchen window.
Once inside the offenders had searched all of the rooms, tipping out cupboards and drawers.
It is not known at this time what was stolen.
The burglary was discovered by a passing neighbour, who saw the garden gate to the property was left open.
