CCTV released of four wanted over Wellington assault
British Transport Police has released CCTV images after two 19-year-old women were assaulted at Wellington railway station.
Officers have released CCTV images of four people they want to speak to about the incident, on Saturday, July 4.
PC Kirk Smith, investigating, said: "At approximately 11.30pm, the two victims attempted to board a Shrewsbury-bound train at Wellington station. However, they got into an altercation with a group getting off the train in which the two women were physically assaulted.
"One victim had her hair pulled and mobile phone kicked onto the tracks while the other suffered whiplash and concussion after her head struck the side of the train."
Police attended the station but the suspects had left the scene. Officers now want the public to help them identify two men and two women from CCTV images.
PC Smith added: "Who are the four individuals pictured. I'm confident someone will recognise them. If you know who they are, or have any further information which could help, please get in touch with BTP or Crimestoppers as soon as possible."
