Dyfed-Powys Police said the call was made on Bank Holiday Monday, but did not say in what area it was recorded in.

The force, which covers Powys, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, tweeted about the incident and said it was a misuse of the emergency number.

It tweeted:

Sian George, force spokeswoman, urged people to only use 999 in an emergency.

Last month West Midlands Ambulance Service received a 999 call from someone asking for more alcohol, while in July, it received a number of calls regarding an injured pigeon.
