Three taken to hospital after lorry, van and two cars crash in Shropshire
Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a lorry, van and two saloon cars near Bridgnorth this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the B4363 in Kinlet at just before 7.15am.
Three ambulances, an ambulance support officer in a rapid response car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "WMAS was called to a three vehicle collision involving three patients near Kinlet Bank this morning.
"A male driver in his thirties was trapped in his vehicle for over forty minutes. He was released by firefighters and treated for a leg injury by ambulance crews. The patient was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board and given pain relief before he was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by land ambulance.
"The driver of the second car involved, a woman believed to be in her sixties, was treated for back and neck injuries. Her car was found in a nearby field following the collision. She was also immobilised before being conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
"A man in his twenties travelling in a light van was also treated for a leg injury. The patient was immobilised and given pain relief before being conveyed by land ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
