A458 closed in Shropshire after van and car collide
A collision between a van and car in Much Wenlock resulted in the temporary closure of the A458 today.

The collision took place at the junction with Stretton Road, shortly after 9.30am.
The car was still in a condition that allowed it to be driven, so response officers were able to get it safely off the road.
Damage to one of the wheels of the van was so severe that it could not be driven, resulting in one carriageway of the A458 having to be closed.
Traffic management was put in place to ensure that traffic could still pass.
Neither of the drivers were injured and the road was closed for an hour until the van was removed by a recovery vehicle.
