Aaron Michael Nigel Jones, of Salop Street, Bishop's Castle, had previously denied three charges of harassment and breaching a restraining order and another charge of harassment without violence.

Yesterday magistrates at Telford ruled that there was no case for the 42-year-old Mr Jones to answer.

The charges related to the placement of an A-board business sign outside the Boars Head Pub in the town, and the parking of Mr Jones' van.

On October 8 a district judge in a separate case threw out one charge of harassment against the pub's owner Darren Price and found him not guilty of a second charge.

Judge Nigel Cadbury had said the case, which was originally listed as a six-day trial and involved town councillors "does nothing but harm the reputation of Bishop's Castle".
