Welshpool man in court to face six charges of rape
A man has appeared in court charged with six counts of rape, including two on a 15-year-old girl and of taking indecent photographs of a child.
Christopher Wayne Edwards, 40, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates Court yesterday where his case was committed to Mold Crown Court.
He did not enter any pleas and the case will be heard at Mold on November 6.
Edwards, of Gilmour Court, Welshpool, faces two charges of raping and one of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old between December 2012 and July 2013 and four charges of raping a woman aged 16 or over between July 2013 and August last year.
He is also accused of possessing 78 indecent photographs of a child, including one at Category A, the most serious kind; 16 at Category B and 61 at Category C.
He is also charged with four drugs offences.
