Police appeal after two-car Telford crash

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious crash in Telford.

Three people were taken to hospital following the collision in Leegomery.

A force spokesman said: "The incident occurred at the junction of Leegate Avenue and Chichester Drive at approximately 4.50pm on Tuesday.

"A green Volkswagen Golf was travelling along Leegate Avenue towards the junction with Chichester Drive, when it was in a collision with a blue Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction.

"The driver of the Golf, a 21 year-old man, sustained bruising and a passenger on the back seat, an 18-year-old man, sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

The driver of the Focus, a 42 year-old woman, received whiplash injuries and was also taken to hospital."

Witnesses should call police on 101.
