50 new Welshpool jobs in firm's expansion
Fifty jobs will be created at a manufacturer in Mid Wales.
Invertek Drives, which has its headquarters on the Offa's Dyke Business Park in Welshpool, is set to expand its operations with the building of a new 56,600 sq ft facility beside its existing home.
The project is due to be completed in 2017, with 30 of the jobs arriving by 2018. The Welsh Government is to fund the construction of the new facility, which will cost £5.6 million.
Operations director Charles Haspel said: "Invertek Drives produces highly innovative, easy-to-use variable frequency drives that save energy in domestic and industrial applications.
"Backing from the Welsh Government helps us develop the world-leading technology and highly skilled workforce necessary to successfully compete on the world stage."
